We want to know what your company\u2019s biggest challenge will be, going into the new year.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout 2023, commercial real estate has weathered myriad storms, from decades-high <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/fed-update-interest-rates-hold-steady\/\">interest rates<\/a>, labor shortages, high debt and capital costs, as well as the here-to-stay nature of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/return-to-office-push-amidst-hybrid-work-era\/\">hybrid work<\/a>. Still, there may be other unforeseen challenges to the sector.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/cpe-poll-the-success-of-the-feds-policies\/\">last month\u2019s poll<\/a>, we asked readers to assess the efficacy of the Federal Reserve\u2019s policies over the last 18 months, following more than 500 basis points worth of interest rate hikes. Nearly two-thirds of respondents\u201464 percent\u2014stated that the Fed has been successful toward achieving its goal of reducing inflation, but that they should be cautious around any further monetary tightening.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>READ ALSO: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/construction-outlook-paints-promising-picture\/\"><span class=\"fl-heading-text\">How the Cost of Building Is Shaping Up for 2024<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The remainder of respondents agreed that the Fed\u2019s policies have been unsuccessful, but disagreed about the causes and effects.
