Nissin Foods USA <\/strong>plans to develop a $228 million manufacturing facility in Greenville County, S.C.<\/p>\n

The instant ramen creator intends to build a 640,640-square-foot facility to further aid its manufacturing capabilities of products such as Top Ramen, Cup Noodles, Hot & Spicy Bowl and FIRE WOK.<\/p>\n

The facility is set to feature sustainable elements as part of Nissin Foods\u2019 goal of minimizing its CO2 emissions by 30 percent by 2030 and attaining carbon neutrality by 2050. The environmentally friendly design will include EV charging stations, electric forklifts and solar panels.<\/p>\n

More than 300 jobs are expected to be created at the new facility. The property is located at 1170 Bracken Road, covering a 51-acre site, CommercialEdge data shows. Construction is set to begin in December of this year, with an anticipated opening in August 2025.<\/p>\n

Upon completion, the project will mark Nissin Foods\u2019 third U.S. manufacturing plant. The other two facilities are situated in Gardena, Calif., and Lancaster, Pa.<\/p>\n

Popular Greenville<\/h2>\n

In prepared remarks, Michael Price, president & CEO of Nissin Foods USA, said that the Greenville location is ideal due to its labor pool, quality of life and prime location, considering the company\u2019s decision to prioritize markets in the southeast U.S.<\/p>\n

In the first half of 2023, Greenville ranked fifth in the nation<\/a> for industrial deliveries, further solidifying its reputation as an industrial hot spot. Some 9.6 million square feet of space hit the market during the first six months of the year, while construction starts topped 4 million square feet year-to-date as of June.<\/p>\n

Rockefeller Group has also recently announced its 1 million-square-foot speculative industrial project<\/a> in the Greenville area. This is the company\u2019s second development in the market, expected to deliver in the fourth quarter of 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
