Featuring office space, residential units, retail outlets and service providers, the project will be part of Nexton, the company\u2019s 5,000-acre master-planned community.<\/p>\n<p>To be constructed in three phases in metro Charleston, S.C., the development is projected to create around 500 new jobs. \u00a0<strong>Bridge Commercial<\/strong> will oversee the leasing activity at the property, while <strong>Rush Dixon Architects<\/strong> and <strong>Bello Garris Architects<\/strong> will provide architectural services. Nexton is managed by <strong>Brookfield Properties<\/strong>, as part of the Newland communities portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>The Charleston office market appears to be on the path to recovery, as revealed by a fourth quarter market report by <strong>Avison Young<\/strong>. Office vacancy decreased year-over-year, while job growth is ongoing. The city&#8217;s unemployment rate dipped to 2.2 percent in November 2022, below pre-pandemic levels.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Dayfield Park slated for groundbreaking\u00a0this year<\/h2>\n<p>The developer will break ground on first phase of the project this summer, while completion of Dayfield Park is slated for 2026. The initial stage will encompass five single-story buildings, comprising 100,000 square feet of commercial office space and 20,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, along with additional standalone lots. A daycare center, fitness center, bar and pet daycare are among the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/office-amenities-with-tenant-appeal\/\">planned amenities<\/a> at the property.<\/p>\n<p>The campus will rise near a residential community consisting of condominiums and townhomes built by Stanley Martin Homes. The new housing option will be within <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/how-walkabilty-impacts-cre-markets\/\">walking distance<\/a> to existing and upcoming office spaces.<\/p>\n<p>Senior Vice President of Bridge Commercial Daniel Pellegrino said in prepared remarks that the growth of Nexton as a premier job hub is due to its consideration of employee needs.
