Fort Ave. in Baltimore, Md.<\/p>\n<p>Giant Food will occupy 44,264 square feet, vacated by a former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southbmore.com\/2022\/11\/14\/giant-to-open-this-friday-at-southside-marketplace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shoppers Food &amp; Pharmacy<\/a> establishment. The new store will open on Friday, Nov. 18.<\/p>\n<p>The opening of Giant Food\u2019s latest location will mark its <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/vAaJF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sixth in Baltimore<\/a>, as the grocer remains the largest of its kind in the city by market share, square footage and employee size. Other tenants include Five Below and Quickway Hibachi Grill. The new location in the Southside Marketplace will include Giant\u2019s modern floorplans, full service departments and free Wi-Fi. Customers will also have access to most of Giant\u2019s brand-standard amenities such as online pickup and delivery placement. Located in the city&#8217;s Riverside Park neighborhood, the shopping center is within 2 miles of downtown Baltimore and a population of 33,000 residents, according to CommercialEdge information.<\/p>\n<h2>Groceries, the retail giant<\/h2>\n<p>Giant Food\u2019s latest opening takes place as grocery stores remain among the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/how-the-25b-kroger-albertsons-merger-could-impact-cre\/\">most in-demand<\/a> commercial real estate assets in the market.
