1400 Broadway<\/p><\/div>\n

Burlington Stores<\/strong> has expanded its lease at Empire State Realty Trust<\/strong>\u2019s 1400 Broadway in the Garment District. The retailer will add 34,591 square feet of office space, previously occupied by Uber, bringing its total commitment at the office tower to 102,898 square feet across three full floors.<\/p>\n

Burlington Stores made its first commitment to 1400 Broadway in 2010, signing a full-floor lease of 35,182 square feet, CommercialEdge data shows. The current expansion is the company’s second, after it doubled its space<\/a> at the 37-story tower last year.<\/p>\n

Originally completed in 1930, the 920,000-square-foot office building was renovated in 2010, according to CommercialEdge data, and includes 18,000 square feet of retail space. The LEED Gold certified property features energy-efficient spaces, tenants-only lounge and will include a new town hall assembly space by the end of the year. Floorplates range between 2,797 and 35,894 square feet. Other tenants in the building include Signature Bank, Fragomen, Mott MacDonald, OnDeck and Kohl\u2019s.<\/p>\n

The office tower is located along the Broadway Pedestrian Plaza and within walking distance of Times Square, Bryant Park, Grand Central Station and Penn Station, with several subway stops also nearby.<\/p>\n

Alan Desino of Colliers<\/strong> represented Burlington Stores in the lease negotiations, while the Newmark<\/strong> team that represented Empire State Realty Trust included Scott Klau, Neil Rubin and Erik Harris.<\/p>\n

Empire State Realty Trust leases in 2022<\/h2>\n

Earlier this month, iCapital expanded its footprint at ESRT\u2019s One Grand Central Place<\/a>, with a long-term, 59,200-square-foot expansion, bringing the company’s footprint within the building to some 140,000 square feet.<\/p>\n

In March, ESRT inked a 70,573-square-foot<\/a> lease for three floors of 1359 Broadway with a fertility benefits management company. Earlier in the year, the landlord completed four separate transactions<\/a> at three of its office buildings, totaling 428,481 square feet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
