According to the MSCI\/SCSI Ireland Quarterly Property Index, property returns in the country returned to positive territory in the third quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n

On a rolling annual basis, the return of the index improved to 2.6 percent at the end of September.<\/p>\n

Industrial was the top performing sector for the year to September 2021 with an annual return of 20.9 percent, its best result in five years.<\/p>\n

Robust investor demand for industrial , evident in the equivalent yield compression,\u00a0was complemented by an acceleration in market rental growth.<\/p>\n

Office, the largest sector in the index by capital value, delivered an annual return of 2.9 percent.<\/p>\n

This marked a sharp reversal of fortunes for the sector, since it was the leading property type in the decade following the Global Financial Crisis.<\/p>\n
