Y. and Stockton, Calif., respectively. The arrangements are part of the retail REIT\u2019s sustainability efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Under the terms of the agreements, Safari Energy will develop, finance and build the projects and all the electricity they generate will be purchased by Washington Prime Group. These systems mark the first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/solar-rooftop-system-atop-md-retail-asset-begins-operations\/\">rooftop solar installations<\/a> the REIT is using, but the two companies are working together to explore additional solar opportunities at other town centers.<\/p>\n<p>The Jefferson Valley Mall will host an approximately 1,100-kilowatt rooftop solar system, which is currently being installed. The Weberstown Mall will hold a 1,300-kilowatt project, anticipated to be installed in 2020.
