In addition to helping others find jobs, Glassdoor will be the one creating jobs following the signing of a long-term lease for two full floors at West End on Fulton, a 315,000-square-foot office tower underway in Chicago’s West Loop. The company signed a 13-year lease for 52,000 square feet throughout the 10th and 11th floors in the new building at 1375 W. Fulton St., while maintaining their current 51,500-square-foot office space at 1330 W. Fulton St.<\/p>\n

Glassdoor will be moving into the new location, which will accommodate 400 employees, in the summer of 2020. The need for more space comes from the company\u2019s recent growth\u2014in less than three years, the Glassdoor Chicago office grew from 30 to 300 employees across different departments.<\/p>\n

The company’s two Chicago locations are expected to accommodate up to 800 employees. Glassdoor added that it intends to create 500 new jobs in Chicago over the next several years as part of its strategic growth plans.<\/p>\n

Trammell Crow Co. is the developer of West End on Fulton, which will feature multiple private outdoor spaces on each floor, common open-air areas and hospitality-focused amenities, according to the development company\u2019s Midwest Business Unit Principal Johnny Carlson. Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor\u2019s president & chief operating officer, attributed the expansion of the Chicago employee base to the area\u2019s talent pool.<\/p>\n

Glassdoor growth<\/h2>\n

The company\u2019s appetite for more office space comes from its continued internal expansion. Glassdoor originally bet on the Chicago office market in 2016 by signing a<\/a> lo<\/a>ng-term<\/a> lease<\/a> at 1330 W. Fulton St., expected to become a \u201cvital hub\u201d for the company in the future. And earlier this year in April, Glassdoor announced that it would expand its product and engineering teams in Chicago.<\/p>\n

Shortly after, in May, the company announced plans to relocate its global headquarters from Mill Valley, Calif., to San Francisco by fall 2020, creating 300 Bay Area jobs in the process over the next five years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
