After adding a principal<\/a> in February, Avison Young has hired Nick Axford as principal & global director of research, a newly created position in the London office. In his new role, Axford will oversee the firm\u2019s research operations including data analysis and forecast offerings across all asset classes and service lines. He will work closely with the company’s national researchers to provide interpreted data and insight into the key market trends around the world.<\/p>\n

Axford brings 29 years of industry experience, 24 of them being with CBRE. Most recently, he was CBRE\u2019s global head of research, a position he occupied since 2013. During his tenure, he acted as the research leader for the U.K., EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Asia-Pacific.<\/p>\n

Axford holds a Ph.D. degree in economic geography and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in geography from the University of Southampton. He also obtained a diploma in surveying with distinction from the University of Reading\u2019s College of Estate Management. He is an active member of CoreNet and the Society of Property Researchers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
