Tag, an end-to-end global creative production and sourcing partner, has opened its American headquarters at the New York Times Building in New York City, signing a 31,000-square-foot lease.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe New York Times building is classic Manhattan, in the heart of the city and an ideal location for an Americas HQ,\u201d<\/em> Ajit Kara, Tag Americas\u2019 CEO, told Commercial Property Executive<\/em>. \u201cThe square footage and the floor plan enhance our workflow so that our different businesses continue to work collaboratively but now under the same roof. The commitment to sustainability mirrors the values of our employees and our clients.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Moreover, he noted the entrance is grand while still being inviting, and the sense of community between the frequent Times Talks and the canteen on the 14th floor speaks to the leadership and character of Tag.<\/p>\n

Tag will lease the entirety of the 10th<\/sup> floor of the 52-story Manhattan building at 620 Eighth Ave. Among Tag\u2019s companies that will use the space are Taylor James, Smoke & Mirrors, World Writers and The Hot Plate.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are continuing to grow and evolve as a company. We deliver a full end-to-end solution to our clients who include multinational, industry leading clients,\u201d <\/em>Kara said. \u201cThe move to the New York Times building gives us the opportunity to bring our New York-based teams together, taking in some of our other office locations and creating a hub for creativity innovation and collaboration.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The Tag Americas HQ will house approximately 180 employees, with 170 standing desks, 10 executive offices and four creative production suites onsite. According to Kara, the company\u2019s philosophy is built on combining open communication, transparency and collaboration to deliver creative production and sourcing solutions for its clients.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur new location allows for even greater collaboration between Tag team members and clients, and bigger and better opportunities to serve our clients with new solutions and technologies,\u201d <\/em>he said. \u201cThe new space is fully outfitted with a green room with VR technology, a flame suite, editing suites, multiple meeting spaces and an entertainment space.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

An iconic building<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Built in 2007, the 52-story asset totals 1.5 million square feet and features a lobby with an internal garden, as well as a cafeteria, coffee lounge and conference center. The building is made from 95 percent recycled structural steel and earth-friendly features include the lighting system, an underfloor air distribution system and cogeneration.<\/p>\n

The New York Times building is in the center of Manhattan and the neighborhood is home to many of the industries that Tag serves. \u201cMost importantly, it is a central location for people who commute into the city whether it be to Penn Station, Port Authority or Grand Central,\u201d <\/em>Kara said. \u201cWe are a very quick trip for some of the best talent in the region.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
