Besco Supply\u2014a local masonry and building supply company\u2014has sold Katy Depot, a 23,413-square-foot former freight depot in Fort Worth, Texas, to a medical supply manufacturer. The new owner financed the acquisition through a Plains Capital Bank loan and intends to renovate the asset. Executive Vice President Ryan Matthews and Vice President Joel St. John of JLL represented the seller, while President Todd Hubbard of NAI Robert Lynn worked on behalf of the buyer. <\/p>\n

Located at 321 E. Broadway Ave. on a 1.8-acre site, the building was completed in 1909 and was originally intended as a freight depot for the Katy Railroad, which connected Missouri, Kansas and Texas. Adjacent to both interstates 30 and 35W, the asset is less than 2 miles south of downtown Fort Worth. The seller had used the facility as a supply house from 1996 until last year, when it relocated to a larger property at 3521 Hemphill St.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the year, another JLL team brokered the $35 million sale of a logistics facility<\/a> in Pembroke Pines, Fla. Vital Pharmaceuticals purchased the building from Helms Development and Core5 Industrial Partners. <\/p>\n
