The JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort, that spans over three miles of pristine sands and Gulf of Mexico waters in Marco Island, Fla., has undergone a comprehensive $320 million renovation. During the three-year upgrade, the property added Lanai Tower\u2014which includes 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space\u2014as well as a 12,000-square-foot entertainment center. Moreover, the remodeling included the redesign of the historic Lanai Suites.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort was already known as one of Florida\u2019s most luxurious family-friendly escapes and in the first phases of our redesign, we reimagined all aspects of the resort from complete renovations of existing rooms and suites to the addition of five new restaurants,\u201d <\/em>Amanda Cox, director of sales and marketing for the property, told Commercial Property Executive.<\/em><\/p>\n

Tesoro and 10K Alley\u2014a gaming emporium and gastropub combination\u2014are two of the dining facilities that recently opened. The renovation also consisted of adding a new SPA by JW concept. Lanai Tower is home to a 94-key hotel designed for adults only. Located at 400 S. Collier Blvd., the property is just 20 minutes south of Naples and within less than an hour drive of Southwest Florida International Airport.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have certainly come a long way from our humble beginnings as a 50-room hotel in the 1960s, to what is now a spectacular resort,\u201d<\/em> Cox added.<\/p>\n

Positive prospects  <\/h2>\n

According to a recent Marcus & Millichap research on hospitality, 2019 should be a prosperous one for those in the resort space, as an increase in jobs, a rising consumer confidence and more retail consumption have created numerous positive economic forces, which are projected to directly impact the leisure travel space.<\/p>\n

Recently, there\u2019s been a lot of activity in the resort space on Marco Island. Last year, the 11-story, 310-key Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa completed a $60 million renovation<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
