Vantage Data Centers has bought 50 acres of land in Goodyear, Ariz., where it will build its largest data center campus to date. Metro Phoenix will be the sixth market where Vantage will have a presence. The capital city and surrounding is one of the top U.S. data center markets, with several providers setting up shop to meet the demands of the growing market. A report published by JLL revealed that Phoenix had a total inventory of 245 megawatts, with another 136.5 megawatts under construction and another planned 44.2 megawatts, as of 2018\u2019s second half.<\/p>\n

Vantage\u2019s massive campus in Goodyear will comprise three data centers and take up 1 million square feet upon completion. A total of 160 megawatts of critical load will be available upon the final phase of deployment. The facility will fulfill demand for hyperscale, cloud, e-commerce and enterprise companies. The first data center in the campus is slated to come online in 2020, adding an initial 32 megawatts of critical load capacity.<\/p>\n

The southwest is an attractive market due to a combination of favorable economic conditions, low power costs and tax incentives<\/em>,<\/em>\u201d Sureel Choksi, president & CEO of Vantage Data Center, told Commercial Property Executive.<\/em><\/p>\n

Vantage Data Centers recently expanded into the Canadian market, with a pending $200 million acquisition of 4Degrees Colocation<\/a>, which will add several more assets to its portfolio, in Montreal and Quebec City.<\/p>\n
