The property is also slated to contain 1,850 square feet of the brand\u2019s signature society creative spaces and meeting rooms.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201ccitizenM\u2019s rollout strategy has always centered around following our guests\u2014a group of modern travelers who frequent true live\/work\/play destinations within the world\u2019s gateway cities,\u201d <\/em>Ernest Lee, citizenM managing director of development &amp; investment in the U.S., said in a prepared statement.<\/p>\n<h2>Transformative development<\/h2>\n<p>The $2 billion Miami Worldcenter is expected to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/miami-worldcenter-to-reshape-the-citys-cbd\/\">transform the city\u2019s urban landscape<\/a>. The development will span 10 blocks, with construction on the first phase of the project already underway. Phase One consists of a 60-story Paramount luxury condominium building, a 444-unit CAOBA Class A apartment tower, and high-street retail.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe set out to create an economic driver and international destination, Miami Worldcenter, in the heart of Downtown Miami as well as a vibrant neighborhood that will draw locals and visitors alike,\u201d<\/em> Nitin Motwani, Miami Worldcenter Associates\u2019 managing principal, said.<em> \u201cWelcoming citizenM to Miami Worldcenter expands our reach in being able to offer an affordable yet luxuriously designed hotel within our \u2018city within a city.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Netherlands-based citizenM operates hotels in Paris, Copenhagen, London, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Glasgow and is developing numerous properties across the U.S., including in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. It also has two other hotels in the works in South Florida. In June, the company proposed a 20-story, 252-key property in Miami\u2019s Brickell Financial District. Last October, it signed on to operate a 168-key asset in Miami Beach.<\/p>\n<p>In December, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/nycs-largest-modular-hotel-tops-off\/\">citizenM Bowery Hotel in Manhattan topped off<\/a>.
