Carol Johnson will be the company\u2019s first independent director and the ninth member of the board. Additionally, she will also serve as a member of the compensation committee of the board.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson has held several top positions in multiple corporate environments, with more than 25 years endowing her with a vast palette of experience in growth strategies, talent retention strategies, private equity transactions, compensation issues and risk management.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Carol has extensive board experience, including as a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, and she has demonstrated excellence while serving in the C-suite and senior executive capacities with leading-edge companies,<\/em>\u201d said Mark Rose, chair &amp; CEO of Avison Young, in a prepared statement.<\/p>\n<h2>Extensive track record<\/h2>\n<p>Prior to joining Avison Young, Carol Johnson most recently served as president &amp; COO of AlliedBarton Security Services LLC. For more than two years, Johnson was responsible for implementing growth strategies for a $2 billion corporation, guiding the company through a sale and a merger. She also held several senior executive positions at The Gale Group, Norrell Services (now Spherion) and Kelly Services.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson also holds several other board positions, at FTS International, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Merakey, as well as the Union League Club of Philadelphia.
