SBS Construction is the general contractor and Archon Architecture\u00a0is the designer\u00a0of the development, which is slated for completion by April 2019. The facility will be managed by a self-storage public real estate investment trust.<\/p>\n<p>The new building will be positioned at 10126 Potranco Road on 3.7 acres near freeways 151 and 1604, roughly 17 miles from downtown San Antonio. The area is densely populated; approximately 106,000 people live within a three-mile radius, with an average income of around $64 000. The property will offer 979 climate-controlled units.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis is the first of several sites we are developing in high profile, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/the-coming-of-age-for-self-storage\/\">undersupplied trade areas<\/a> in San Antonio,\u201d <\/em>said Hugh Horne, president of HPI Horne Storage, in prepared remarks. <em>\u201cOn top of our San Antonio projects, we are building a national portfolio of 20 plus properties over the next three to five years.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The joint venture\u2019s second project will be situated at 12727 Vista Del Norte, east of Blanco Road and Wurzbach Parkway.
