The project was made possible utilizing the Colorado Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing program.<\/p>\n<p>Room 214 is the first C-PACE-approved Small Business Association loan in the region and the second in the country. Its owners were given a $296,000 loan with financing provided by CleanFund, a private capital provider based in San Francisco. The funds were used to replace outdated equipment and upgrade building systems to be energy efficient. By using the C-PACE program, the marketing agency property also was granted longer financing terms, no explicit down payment requirement and a reduction of risk as the financing liability is retained by the building itself in the form of a tax assessment.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe opportunity to serve as an inaugural partner with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/c-pace-funding-granted-to-houston-office-asset\/\">C-PACE program<\/a> afforded a \u2018win-win\u2019 for our client, maximizing the property\u2019s energy efficiency while providing a long-term solution through the placement of new equipment,\u201d<\/em> James Lang, Energesco\u2019s CFO, said in a prepared statement.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Working with Energesco was essential to the project&#8217;s success,&#8221;<\/em> added James Clark, co-founder, Room 214. <em>&#8220;Energesco immediately took control of the entire project management process from bid and vendor management, onsite facility review, project engineering, financial review, project management and partner selection.
