Craig Maturi, Transwestern<\/p><\/div>\n

Transwestern<\/a> has tapped Craig Maturi as vice president to oversee all operations in the Greater Puget Sound market. Maturi is a 15-year industry veteran with substantial national and international experience.<\/p>\n

Maturi told Commercial Property Executive<\/em> in an email that his goal for the Seattle office<\/a> is to \u201cstrengthen and grow our client relationships by expanding and elevating Transwestern\u2019s service offering, attracting top talent, and creating career growth opportunities for our veteran professionals.\u201d<\/em> The company’s Seattle branch\u00a0has two dozen professionals who lease and\/or manage 2.5 million square feet, primarily consisting of office space,<\/p>\n

Extensive international experience<\/h2>\n

Most recently, Maturi’s career took him to Southeast Asia, where he worked for one of the region\u2019s premier developers in Yangon, Myanmar\u2019s largest city with a population of about 5 million.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have driven business development in Singapore and Taipei, both of which are very dynamic markets with populations exceeding 5 million each,\u201d <\/em>Maturi said. \u201cMy experience from both mature and developing markets provides me a broad perspective in managing owners\u2019 assets and enables me to leverage my international network to the benefit of clients, as well as effectively lead diverse teams who deliver for our clients on a daily basis.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Much of Maturi\u2019s career has been focused on asset management and development projects in the Pacific Northwest and Asia. Most recently, he served as general manager at YOMA Strategic Holdings Ltd.\u00a0Here, he oversaw Myanmar\u2019s largest development, an award-winning, 465-acre, master-planned, waterfront community featuring 10 million square feet of commercial space, 9,000 residential units, an international school campus and a golf course\/driving range. Previous asset services assignments included an 18 million-square-foot portfolio in Singapore and a 60-acre urban redevelopment campus in downtown Seattle.<\/p>\n

Maturi said he is \u201cthrilled to return to Seattle and join Transwestern to lead a great team with an incredibly collaborative culture and solid, 40-year industry track record into its next phase of growth in the Northwest.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cCraig\u2019s diverse experience and extensive contacts in the industry will accelerate Transwestern\u2019s full-service platform in the Greater Puget Sound area,\u201d<\/em> Executive Vice President Dave Rock, who oversees operations for Transwestern in Seattle, as well as Southern California and Phoenix, said in a prepared statement. \u201cHis proven success in creating new business will propel us to the next level in real estate services and operations in the Northwest.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Maturi, who noted his real estate career began with a Seattle-based REIT in 1998, said he has \u201cserved a varied array of global commercial real estate investors, all with different mandates and objectives.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
