While fourth-quarter 2017 investment volume<\/a> started off to a slow start, hitting only $66 billion as of Nov. 30, investors were active in the last month of the year, with volume totaling $123.8 billion as of Dec. 31, according to Real Capital Analytics data. Transaction activity increased incrementally each quarter this year, starting with $101.9 billion in the first quarter, but volumes were down slightly in each quarter compared to the same quarter in 2016.
