Mark Vondrasek, Hyatt Hotels Corp.<\/p><\/div>\n

Hyatt Hotels Corp. has appointed Mark Vondrasek as chief commercial officer. He will continue to report to Mark Hoplamazian, the company\u2019s president & CEO.<\/p>\n

Vondrasek joined Hyatt in September 2017 as executive vice president & global head of loyalty and new business platforms. In his new position, he will continue to be responsible for Hyatt\u2019s loyalty\u00a0program and new growth platforms, alongside other tasks\u00a0such as global sales, revenue management, distribution strategy, corporate marketing, communications, digital, consumer insights and global contact centers.<\/p>\n

Hospitality\u00a0veteran<\/h2>\n

Prior to joining Hyatt, the industry veteran worked for Starwood Hotels & Resorts for almost 15 years, most recently serving the company as senior vice president of commercial services. Vondrasek holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration and management from University of St. Thomas\u2019 Opus College of Business and an MBA in operations management and supervision from Loyola University Chicago. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cMark’s track record as a transformational leader, his past experience and recent success in accelerating the World of Hyatt loyalty program make him uniquely qualified for this role,\u201d<\/em> said Hoplamazian, in prepared remarks.<\/p>\n

In addition, the company has named Jim Chu as global head of development and owner relations,\u00a0and James Francque as head of transactions. The two executives have joined Hyatt roughly 14 and seven years ago, respectively.<\/p>\n

In a recently announced high-profile deal, Hyatt is set to dispose of three of its assets in a $1 billion deal<\/a>.<\/p>\n
