Construction work started in late 1921 and just one year later, the DPD\u2019s traffic unit was the first to move in. The building has been vacant since June 2013, when the city\u2019s police department moved into the Detroit Public Safety headquarters at the intersection of Third Avenue and Howard Street.<\/p>\n<p>This is not Bedrock\u2019s first project involving a historic building in Detroit.
