French developer and Independent Power Producer Neoen is the project\u2019s developer.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cZambia is one of the key markets for us considering the booming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/african-development-bank-grants-324m-for-green-power-projects\/\">renewable energy segment<\/a> and the Zambian government\u2019s support for the development of 500 megawatts of new Solar PV plant in next couple of years. Zambia regularly suffers from power outages that lasts for more than 10 hours a day.
