Gordon Childress<\/p><\/div>\n

Skanska has named Gordon Childress as its executive vice president & general manager. In his new role within Skanska\u2019s Oakland, Calif. office, Childress will oversee the firm\u2019s construction operations in Northern California.<\/p>\n

Childress possesses nearly 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Most recently, he served as the COO for Regis Contractors Bay Area, the general contracting affiliate of Sares Regis Group of Northern California. Before this, he held the position of president with Balfour Beatty Construction. During his career, Childress additionally worked for 15 years with Skanska as a senior vice president\u00a0& account manager.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am thrilled to welcome Gordon home to Skanska,\u201d<\/em> said Leo Vetrone, COO of Skanska\u2019s construction division in the U.S., in a prepared statement. \u201cHe pairs a strong portfolio of experience rooted in strong customer relationships with a cultural understanding of Skanska. I believe he will establish Skanska as the Bay Area\u2019s contractor of choice and as one of the most desired places to work in the region.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The company\u00a0has made significant changes to its international executive team over the past year, including the recent naming of Anders Danielsson as Skanska’s president & CEO<\/a>.<\/p>\n
