Vacancy rates dropped for retail markets year-over-year only in one region\u2014the West (down by 20 basis points). Vacancy rates remained unchanged in every other region. On a national level, vacancy rates didn\u2019t register any changes compared to the fourth quarter of 2017 but decreased by 20 basis points compared to the same interval in 2016. Vacancy rates for the fourth quarter of 2019 are expected to decrease in every region, dropping 10 basis points on a national level.
