JPMorgan Chase has signed an office lease renewal and expansion with a joint venture involving Meritage Properties and CV Properties. The tenant will expand onto three separate floors, taking more than 140,000 square feet in the Boston Seaport District<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With a total of 477,000 square feet of creative space, the asset was originally constructed in 1909 and previously served as a warehouse, until its conversion to offices in 1980.\u00a0Despite the transformation, the building features high ceilings and traditional brick-and-beam architecture.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lifestyle amenities<\/h2>\n

Amenities include a recently renovated lobby, a 3,000-square-foot Wi-Fi-enabled tenant amenity center featuring lounge areas, kitchen, games and conference center, regular events programmed by the on-site social manager, a caf\u00e9, fitness center, daycare, parking, enclosed bike storage, as well as a regular shuttle service to North and South stations.\u00a0The building is located at 451 D St., in close proximity to eateries, bars, entertainment options, hotels, parks\u00a0and\u00a0hotels.<\/p>\n

CBRE\u2019s Jon Freni, Bill Crean and PJ Mugford represented the landlord in the transaction. JLL\u2019s Ben Heller and Roger Breslin acted on behalf of the tenant.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince acquiring the building in 2014, we have focused on developing a first-class experience for our tenants, complemented by dynamic aesthetic changes and a curated social community experience,<\/em>\u201d Meritage Properties Managing Director\u00a0Erin Shaw said in a prepared statement.<\/p>\n
