During the next four years, the company plans to\u00a0invest\u00a0roughly\u00a0$93 million (R$ 300 million) in the renovation and repositioning of the\u00a0properties,\u00a0which will be progressively\u00a0rebranded under\u00a0AccorHotels flags.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cPrecisely now when the Brazilian hospitality market is soft, we will carry on a major renovation program in mostly all of our hotels, so that by 2020 BHG will emerge in a recovering market with a markedly superior hotel portfolio in the country,\u201d<\/em> said Rubens Freitas, chairman of BHG &amp; managing director of GP Investments, in a prepared statement.<\/p>\n<p>Almost two years after the\u00a0sale of its $550 million <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/accorhotels-to-sell-550m-european-portfolio\/\">European portfolio<\/a>, AccorHotels has also recently acquired LEBSPE Ltda from BHG, a company that manages The Capital S\u00e3o Paulo Itaim and Grand Plaza S\u00e3o Paulo Jardins hotels in S\u00e3o Paulo; Soft Inn S\u00e3o Luis in Maranh\u00e3o; and Presidente Uberl\u00e2ndia Hotel in Minas Gerais.<\/p>\n<p>BHG has a portfolio valued at up to $372 million (R$1.2 billion) in properties across the country. In parallel to this partnership, the company continues its expansion in hotel management, with the opening of the Soft Inn Macei\u00f3 in the beginning of 2018, which will join the other 16 hotels operating under the Royal Tulip, Golden Tulip, Tulip Inn and Soft Inn brands.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AccorHotels will manage several of Brazil Hospitality Group&#8217;s properties.
