The Howard Hughes Corp. has broken ground on Houston\u2019s newest master-planned development, the 2,000-acre Woodlands Hills. The Woodlands Hills joins\u00a0The Woodlands\u00a0and\u00a0Bridgeland, two other award-winning master planned communities in the Houston area.<\/p>\n

The Woodlands Hills will include more than 4,500 residences with home builders being announced later this year. The first single-family models are expected to open in the first quarter of 2018. The forested community of The Woodlands Hills will feature 112 acres of open space, 20 neighborhood parks along with a 17-acre Village Park. An amenity center with event space and a fitness facility and a nine-and-a-half mile hike and bike trails will also be part of the project. A mix of retail is also planned.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The property will\u00a0offer easy access to Interstate 45, the Grand Parkway and the Hardy Toll Road.\u00a0The location is in close proximity to businesses and healthcare in The Woodlands and surrounding areas,\u00a0with easy commute possibility to the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. The\u00a0community\u00a0is also near Lake Conroe, Sam Houston National Forest and the Lone Star Executive Airport in Conroe.<\/p>\n

Last month, the company revealed that it will develop the 10,000-seat stadium in its Summerlin master-planned community<\/a> on the eastern edge of Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
