\"Digital<\/a>Digital Realty opened a new facility on its nine-acre campus in the Sossenheim district of Frankfurt, Germany. The first of three planned buildings delivers nine megawatts of critical IT power distributed across its three floors, with two 10,000-square-foot data suites per floor. The building is designed to provide three megawatts of IT power at cabinet level, from a\u00a02N redundant UPS system. An ancillary space of 60,000 square feet will also be available, with offices, de-box rooms, test rooms and dedicated plant areas.<\/p>\n

The new campus is located on Wilhelm-Fay Street, approximately three miles from downtown Frankfurt. Upon completion, it will offer 27 megawatts of critical IT power and the facilities will be connected via dark fiber to the company\u2019s existing center at Lyoner Street. The carrier-neutral site will act as a connectivity hub for potential tenants, with multiple Internet service exchange and cloud providers.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrankfurt is one of the most important\u00a0data center markets<\/a> in the world\u2014second in size only to London in the European region.
