Melanie Kirkwood Ruiz<\/p><\/div>\n

Cushman & Wakefield has named Melanie Kirkwood Ruiz as CIO, Americas. She will be based in the company\u2019s Chicago office and will report to global CIO & Chief Digital Officer Adam Stanley. Kirkwood Ruiz will also work closely with Chief Executive for the Americas Tod Lickerman, as well as Americas COO Todd Schwartz.<\/p>\n

In her new position and as part of the firm\u2019s Global Technology Solutions team, Kirkwood Ruiz will spearhead Cushman & Wakefield\u2019s Americas technology strategy. She will work across the company\u2019s nearly 200 offices in the region to develop new tech solutions, improve operations and drive new business.<\/p>\n

Tech solutions specialist<\/h2>\n

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Kirkwood Ruiz served Scientific Games as vice president of business technology. Apart from holding various leadership roles, she worked on consolidating several billion-dollar companies into one global tech platform. During her career, she has also served Johnson & Johnson, Abbott and United Airlines.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs massive technology shifts continue to impact our industry, Melanie will play a key role in supporting the digital transformation of our firm,\u201d<\/em> Stanley said in prepared remarks. \u201cShe is a dynamic leader with more than two decades of global experience leading and implementing technology solutions that maximize profitability and drive productivity.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Kirkwood Ruiz holds an MBA degree from Northwestern University\u2019s Kellogg School of Management and two degrees\u2014a bachelor of science in engineering and a master\u2019s\u2014from Cornell University.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Cushman & Wakefield announced five high-level promotions<\/a> within the firm’s Americas offices.\u00a0<\/p>\n
