Interdisciplinary architecture and design firm Hoefer Wysocki hired two new vice presidents for its Dallas office. Travis Leissner, AIA, and John Ruggieri, LEED AP, join the company to expand its education, health-care and urban design projects.<\/p>\n

Travis Leissner, AIA<\/p><\/div>\n

Travis Leissner is a member of The American Institute of Architects<\/a> and brings more than 25 years of experience to Hoefer\u2019s office. His work concentrates on health care, education and wellness, as well as active-aging environments. Prior to joining Hoefer, Leissner served as regional practice area leader at Gensler, vice president at CannonDesign, as well as a founding partner of Jonathan Bailey Associates. He worked with Cesar Pelli on the design of a $1.4 billion academic teaching hospital in Doha, Qatar, was a co-founder of the Fetal Therapy Think Tank and holds a co-chair at ULI North Texas\u2019 Health, Wellness and Life Sciences Council. He received his bachelor\u2019s degree in environmental design from Texas A&M University in 1989.<\/p>\n

John Ruggieri, LEED AP<\/p><\/div>\n

John Ruggieri is a LEED-accredited professional, and brings to Hoefer more than 30 years of experience, joining as vice president of urban design. He will lead in the practices of urban redevelopment, transit-oriented development and sports and entertainment. Prior to obtaining a position at Hoefer, Ruggieri served as AECOM\u2019s director of design, planning and economics, as vice president of planning and urban design at RTKL, as well as the city center business development specialist for the city of Avondale, Az. He designed and developed sports mixed-use venues in San Diego and Phoenix. He received his Bachelor of Science in landscape architecture from Pennsylvania State University in 1978.<\/p>\n

\u201cHoefer Wysocki is known in the industry for delivering inspiring projects. Bringing my experience in urban design, my team will deliver design solutions that will promote and project performance and city resiliency by understanding the context of place,<\/em>\u201d said Ruggieri in a prepared statement.<\/p>\n
