The 127,832-square-foot building,\u00a0located at 3rd\u00a0and New Streets, is beeing built\u00a0by Quadratus Construction Management.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The six-story Gateway at Greenway Park property\u00a0is a $24 million project\u2014according to a report by\u00a0local news site\u00a0<em>Lehigh Valley Live<\/em>\u2014 and is expected to lead\u00a0to the revival of Southside Bethlehem. <em>\u201cWe have talked about the rebirth of the Southside for many years,\u201d<\/em> said Robert Donchez, the mayor of Bethlehem, in prepared remarks. <em>\u201cI believe this project, known as Gateway at Greenway Park, the parking garage and Greenway Commons are the beginning of a true renaissance in South Bethlehem.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Universities as anchor tenants<\/h2>\n<p>Once the project is finished, the first floor will be used for retail, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/what-to-consider-when-subleasing-office-space\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">office space <\/a>will occupy floors two through six. The building will incorporate a three-story glass walkway linking to the 600 car parking garage, which is also under construction. The anchor tenants of the asset include St. Luke\u2019s University Health Network and Lehigh University.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe partnership between the City, Lehigh University and St. Luke\u2019s could not be stronger. Their commitment to being anchor tenants in this building will bring much needed foot traffic to the businesses in the area and will bring renewed interest and excitement to South Bethlehem,\u201d<\/em> added Donchez.<\/p>\n<p>Howard Kulp Architects PC designed the building and the developer is ION Development Group.
