Technology company PTC will relocate its global headquarters to the building in early 2019, bringing along more than 1,000 employees and a 30-year heritage of technology innovation.<\/p>\n<p>Situated on Boston\u2019s most sustainable block, across from District Hall and Seaport Square Green, 121 Seaport is a Class A, 400,000-square-foot office building targeting LEED Platinum certification. The 17-story property, designed by CBT and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/skanska-tops-out-on-green-office-building-in-boston\/\">developed by Skanska,<\/a> features virtually column-free floor plates that create flexible workspaces for customization, elevated 10-foot ceilings, panoramic waterfront views of the Boston Harbor and city skyline, outdoor terraces, a fitness center, a conference and events center, 24\/7 hotel-style concierge, two floors of prime retail, as well as direct access to neighboring parks, amenities and transportation.<\/p>\n<p>121 Seaport is adjacent to the MBTA\u2019s Silver Line, within walking distance from South Station. It offers indoor bicycle parking spaces, as well as underground, secured parking. The tower is just a block away from interstates 93 and 90 access ramps. Additionally,\u00a0 a variety of retail and wellness options are in close proximity, including SoulCycle, Starbucks, By Chloe, CVS, Blue Hills Bank, Shake Shack, the ICA, Yo! Sushi, Equinox, Gather and Ocean Prime. The company, founded in 1985, expects its new headquarters to become a premier destination for customers and partners, who come from around the world to experience PTC technology hands-on, in its Corporate Experience Center. PTC revolutionized the computer-aided design software market and, in the 1990s, brought to market the first web-based product lifecycle management system, which today is recognized as a market leader in the Internet of Things and Augmented Reality<strong>\u2014<\/strong>two of the most disruptive technology trends to come along in a lifetime.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>There are few places in the world that can lay claim to as many \u2018firsts\u2019 as Boston,<\/em>\u201d said PTC CEO Jim Heppelmann, in a prepared statement. \u201c<em>It is clear that this region has the opportunity to yet again become a beacon of innovation in technologies as disruptive as the Internet of Things and Augmented Reality.
