Accelerated Charter Elementary School<\/p><\/div>\n

The Accelerated Schools, a pre-K to 12th grade network of public charter schools in South Los Angeles<\/a>, opened its new $37 million campus for dual language.<\/p>\n

The Spanish\/English school, dubbed The Accelerated Charter Elementary School (ACES) is located at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Main Street.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The property includes 100,000 square feet of new school improvements, 19,000 square feet of play and outdoor teaching space and 11,569 square feet for a multipurpose room, cafeteria and lunch shelter space. ACES is a green school and is set to become LEED Silver certified. The Gomez & Gomez Dual Language Enrichment model used for the dual language program is the only one in Los Angeles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Construction financing was provided by the Los Angeles philanthropic and corporate communities, the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and the State of California through Proposition 55.\u00a0<\/p>\n
