Set to open in spring 2018, the STC\u00a0will eventually link\u00a011 transportation systems and encompass more than one million square feet. The state-of-the-art site will feature retail and dining, among a host of\u00a0light-filled public spaces, including a\u00a05.4-acre outdoor rooftop park with a garden, trails, play areas for\u00a0children and an open-air concert amphitheater.<\/p>\n<p>The company plans to design and manage 274 digital screens\u2014which will communicate transit\u00a0information, provide a way-finding system and display advertisements\u2014backed by a mobile\u00a0component. In addition to displaying schedules, the content management system will also be able to relay emergency messages. To support the transit hub&#8217;s retail corridor, Pearl Media\u00a0has also reached out to national brands and agencies to implement a 360-degree approach to venue activation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>We want to create excitement in the venue and engage Fortune 500 companies and brands in our mission<\/em>,&#8221; Pearl Media CEO Josh Cohen told\u00a0<em>CPE<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The redeveloped transit center will offer direct access to the 1,170-foot Salesforce Tower, which is currently the\u00a0tallest building in San Francisco. &#8220;<em>The location gives us an opportunity to connect with a\u00a0unique audience, one that typically has some\u00a0discretionary income<\/em>,&#8221; Cohen\u00a0explained. &#8220;<em>These are people involved in tech, who like to eat good food, support local companies and are active on social media<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Experiential Retail Component<\/h2>\n<p>Cohen realizes that bringing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/experiential-retailing-is-transforming-the-use-of-cre\/\">experiential retail<\/a>\u00a0options to STC not only\u00a0pleases shoppers, but also brands and landlords: &#8220;<em>Word of mouth is so powerful, and consumers are becoming the best endorsers for brands and media.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p>Some of the methods that Pearl Media is using to attract customers include fashion shows, concerts and art exhibits.
