<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Sportsman Boats Manufacturing, a provider of premium boats, is expanding its Dorchester County operations. The company plans to invest $3.5 million and create 100 new jobs in Summerville, S.C. The 70,000-square-foot addition follows another recent investment\u2014an 800-kilowatt solar power system mounted on the roof of its existing facility.<\/p>\n<p>Located at 113 Isaac Way, Sportsman is within a 15-minute drive of Interstate 26. The company is adding production space to its facility to accommodate the growth of its upholstery, welding and small part fabrication operations.<\/p>\n<h2>Continued growth<\/h2>\n<p>The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to the project.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSportsman Boats is proud to have roots here in South Carolina and Dorchester County, and we are excited about our continued growth. It is refreshing to live and work in a state that is pro-business and to be able to work with local and state officials to help provide good jobs for our fellow citizens,\u201d<\/em> said Sportsman Boats President Tommy Hancock, in a prepared statement.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, another Dorchester-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/scout-boats-expands-dorchester-county-footprint\/\">boat manufacturer<\/a> decided to expand.
