Catalina Chew, Thor Equities<\/p><\/div>\n

After appointing\u00a0Fess <\/a>Wofse<\/a>‘s chief financial officer, full-service real estate company Thor Equities has hired Catalina Chew as its newest controller. She will be leading a team that deals with fund preparation and review, but also property and management level accounting and reporting. Additionally, she will contribute to the firm\u2019s new technology initiatives.<\/p>\n

Extensive finance &\u00a0accounting experience<\/h2>\n

Prior to joining Thor Equities, Chew served as an assistant controller at Berkshire Group for three years, where she oversaw and managed a billion-dollar portfolio. Before that, between 2008 and 2014, she was corporate controller at High Street Equity Advisors, where her responsibilities included treasury management, corporate operations, human resource management, accounting, auditing and reporting.<\/p>\n

In previous roles, Chew has served as an\u00a0accounting manager and treasurer for Northland Investment Corporation, where she oversaw\u00a0treasury management, cash management and accounting operations for both residential and commercial properties. She also served as an associate at PricewaterhourseCoopers LLP between 2004 and 2006.<\/p>\n

Chew holds a B.A. in Business Management from Fisher College. She was named \u201cWoman of the Year\u201d by the National Association of Professional Women in 2012 and 2013.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer extensive experience will be instrumental as we continue to grow and acquire new properties throughout the United States, Europe and Latin America,<\/em>\u201d Thor Equities COO Melissa Gliatta said in a prepared statement.<\/p>\n
