This is the company\u2019s tenth acquisition in 2017, which brings the number of its North Carolina properties to four. The new owner plans to expand and upgrade the facility.<\/p>\n<p>The asset is located at 6605 Burlington Road and offers drive up and climate controlled units totaling 70,000 square feet of rentable space. Compass plans to make several improvements to the facility, including state-of-the-art security and surveillance systems and individual digital customer access control.<\/p>\n<h2>Expansion plans for 2018<\/h2>\n<p>In January 2018, construction work for a new two-story building will begin. The project will provide an additional 49,000 square feet of climate controlled space.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We are proud to expand our service area in North Carolina to include the residents and businesses of the Whitsett community.
