In this role, Heller will be responsible for originating conventional and small-balance agency business as well as placing the company\u2019s proprietary fixed- and floating-rate products in the Mid-Atlantic area. He will report directly to Senior Managing Director\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/hunt-mortgage-group-promotes-vic-clark\/\">Vic Clark<\/a>\u00a0and Managing Director Michael Becktel.<\/p>\n<h2>Establishing a local presence<\/h2>\n<p>\u201c<em>The Mid-Atlantic region is a rich region with strong dynamics and solid underlying real estate fundamentals. A local presence enables us to better serve the rapidly growing needs of area developers and investors. This is the ninth new Hunt Mortgage Group office we have opened in the past year and the second opened to serve clients in the Mid-Atlantic area.\u00a0 Earlier this year we opened an office in Charlotte, N.C.<\/em>,\u201d Clark said in prepared remarks.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to being appointed, Heller served as managing director for loan originations at Greystone &amp; Co., where he sourced numerous commercial real estate deals, including agency, FHA, CMBS and proprietary multifamily loans. He also worked as managing director at RAIT Financial Trust, where he was responsible for sourcing CMBS loans, proprietary floating-rate loans and mezzanine debt for all asset classes.
