{"id":1004184888,"date":"2017-07-25T04:07:33","date_gmt":"2017-07-25T12:07:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/?p=1004184888"},"modified":"2022-12-06T20:27:03","modified_gmt":"2022-12-07T04:27:03","slug":"skanska-to-build-london-mixed-use-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/skanska-to-build-london-mixed-use-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Skanska Tapped to Build London Mixed-Use Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By IvyLee Rosario<\/p>\n<p>After its development of the\u00a0Zayed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/skanska-to-build-74m-medical-research-center-in-london\/\">Research Center\u00a0in London<\/a>, Skanska has signed a $185 million contract with Consolidated Developments to build the St. Giles Circus mixed-use development in the West End of London. \u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Historic Charm\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>The project is set to include retail, commercial offices, residential and leisure and entertainment spaces. Comprising four new buildings and the incorporation of existing structures, there are plans to include a retained facade and refurbish listed buildings, some of which have been around since 1666.<\/p>\n<p>Construction has already started on the proposed shell and core development and is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2020.
