Located in Vila-seca and Salou\u2014next to Tarragona and some 70 miles south of Barcelona\u2014the entertainment hub will include a combination of hotel, convention, entertainment, dining and shopping areas. Totaling around eight million square feet, the project is estimated to have a total price tag\u00a0of $2.3 billion, which includes land and infrastructure costs. Entertainment World is scheduled to\u00a0be built in several phases over the next few years.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Phase One<\/h2>\n<p>The Hard Rock Hotel &amp; Casino Tarragona integrated resort is the project&#8217;s first phase. In collaboration with PortAventura, the company intends to develop a 500-key family-oriented hotel and a luxury tourism shopping destination totaling 75 shops across 107,000 square feet. The hotel will also feature a pool deck and a 64,000-square-foot pool.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum investment for phase one is expected to pass $685 million and will create more than 11,500 direct and indirect construction and ongoing jobs for the area.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Entertainment World<\/h2>\n<p>The entertainment destination will also feature a concert space that will accommodate in excess of 15,000 people, a Hard Rock Live performance venue, the signature Hard Rock Cafe and an accompanying Rock Shop.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The guitar-shaped Hard Rock Hotel will be the focal point of Entertainment World and will feature 600 guestrooms across a total of more than one million square feet of space. The casino portion will include 1,200 slot machines and 100 table games.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hard Rock International is continuing its global footprint growth\u00a0with three prior projects in Europe.
