Touhy Ave., Des Plaines, Ill.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>CBRE facilitated a long-term <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/snapsheet-doubles-office-space-at-new-chicago-address\/\">office lease<\/a> for 18,890 square feet on behalf of Local 881 United Food and Commercial Workers (Local 881 UFCW), a labor union representing employees in retail food and drug stores throughout Illinois and Northwest Indiana. Through this deal, the organization expanded its space by roughly 25 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Local 881 UFCW is expected to relocate from 10400 W. Higgins Road in Rosemont, Ill. to the new office at 1350 E. Touhy Ave. in Des Plaines, Ill. in early 2019. John Springer, executive vice president with CBRE\u2019s Advisory and Transaction Services and Gary Fazzio, vice chairman, represented the union\u00a0in the transaction.<\/p>\n<p>Suite 300E at 1350 E. Touhy Ave. is currently occupied by Van Ru Credit Corp. Property records available on PropertyShark show that the last time the Class A building changed hands was in 2014, when it traded for $6.2 million.
