BEC Solar, a subsidiary of Bandera Electric Cooperative, developed the software.<\/p>\n<p>The software was designed to authorize the solar array owner to receive enhanced financial benefits from energy generated during daily peak energy consumption, which helps accelerate return on the investment. In addition, can&nbsp;reduce system design and operation costs.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Apolloware benefits all parties because it provides financial benefits that are correlated directly to the wholesale energy market,&#8221; <\/em>William Hetherington,&nbsp;BEC CEO &amp; general manager. <em>&#8220;Since it is a cloud-based solution, it is independent from the utility allowing autonomy and transparency of the data.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The transparency of data will make room for sophisticated analytics to optimize distribution systems, design and operation, Hetherington said. Utilities will have the ability to aggregate solar installations throughout their system and use that information to sell back to the wholesale market.<\/p>\n<p>A pilot program of the software is underway through the end of 2017.
