Nathan Deal<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Metro Atlanta will soon be home to the highest-rated data center in the Southeast, now that global technology solutions company Switch has chosen Douglas County, Ga., as the site for its fourth U.S. Switch Prime campus. Dubbed The Keep, the $2.5 billion, state-of-the-art data center will encompass more than 1 million square feet.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cGeorgia\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/cvmc-reit-ii-acquires-two-data-centers-near-atlanta-detroit\/\">robust technology infrastructure<\/a> and skilled workforce will benefit Switch in building this new data center and in the company\u2019s future growth,\u201d<\/em> Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal said in a prepared statement. <em>\u201cBy selecting Douglas County, Switch will enjoy our business-friendly climate and further secure Georgia\u2019s status as the Silicon Valley of the South.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Keep, which is expected to be fully powered by green energy, will serve as a hub for the Southeastern U.S. market. The facility will provide users the ability to operate in numerous Tier IV Gold data center environments across the East Coast, without the risks that come with being in a natural disaster zone. The Douglas County location may expand to encompass two campuses totaling several million square feet as demand dictates.<\/p>\n<p>Switch is offering only the broad strokes of The Keep for now, but the company claims it will soon reveal further details on the development of project, as well as news of several anchor commitments.
