The company broke ground on the new development in May 2016 and is expected to complete the overall &#8220;Wings&#8221; project in the\u00a0first quarter of 2018. This also comprises a six-story, 425,000-square-foot Southwest Airlines office building.<\/p>\n<p>The LEAD Center will house 18 flight simulators, one of which has already been installed. Built with a hardened structure designed to withstand the forces of an F4 Tornado, the Center is scheduled to start operation in the third quarter of this year.\u00a0The development is located adjacent to Dallas Love Field Airport and will feature more than 1,900 parking spaces and a 400-foot-long elevated pedestrian safety bridge.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, McCarthy teamed up with\u00a0HGA Architects and Engineers to build a\u00a050,000-square-foot Math, Science and Technology <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/bay-area-college-building-goes-green\/\">classroom and lab building<\/a> at Ca\u00f1ada College in Redwood City, Calif.<\/p>\n<p><em>Image courtesy of McCarthy<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>McCarthy has topped off the first phase of a new development for Southwest Airlines.
