Cushman & Wakefield has been named the exclusive leasing advisor for 13 buildings at SouthPark Center in Orlando, Fla. The master-planned business park owned by AEW Capital Management can accommodate up to 2.9 million square feet of Class A office space.<\/p>\n

The advisory team led by Managing Director Damien Madsen of Office Brokerage Services, alongside Senior Associate Austin Johnston, will lease the bulk of SouthPark Center\u2019s 15 buildings on behalf of the private institutional investor<\/a>. The office campus is currently 96 percent leased, with availabilities ranging from 1,500 to 150,000 square feet.<\/p>\n

Located at the intersection of John Young Parkway and SouthPark Circle, the 176-acre office park was developed between 1998 and 2009. Buildings range from one to five stories and boast large floor plates, ample column-free space and parking, with select buildings featuring updated lobbies and restrooms. Further amenities include on-site management and leasing, outdoor eating and meeting pavilion, athletic club with shower and locker facilities, a Natures Table Caf\u00e9 and on-site mobile detailing services. AEW acquired the office campus for $260 million from Florida East Coast Industries in August 2014, according to Yardi Matrix.<\/p>\n

SouthPark Center\u2019s location provides access to Orlando International Airport, The Orange County Convention Center, Florida\u2019s Turnpike, the Beachline Expressway (State Road 528) and Orlando\u2019s theme parks.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very excited to be able to work on this highly successful business park,\u201d<\/em> said Madsen, in prepared remarks. \u201cOwnership\u2019s continued commitment to SouthPark Center has positioned the campus as a premier destination for credit tenants,\u201d<\/em> he added. Madsen helped develop and lease SouthPark Center from 1998 through 2007 while serving as senior director of leasing for Flagler Development Co.<\/p>\n
