The makeover is expected to be complete during the second quarter of 2018.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Beginning in August 2017, the guestrooms will be upgraded to feature contemporary and retro-chic designs with accents that touch upon the history of Flamingo as the centerpiece of the Las Vegas Strip. Designed by Forrest Perkins, the guestrooms will utilize gold and flamingo pink to emphasize the hotel&#8217;s character.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 3,500-key Flamingo Las Vegas celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2016. The resort features a 15-acre pool; wildlife habitat that includes waterfalls, island vegetation, tropical wildlife, three pools and outdoor gardens; shopping; a spa; golf; a fitness center; a business center; more than 1 million square feet of meeting space; and dining options such as\u00a0<span class=\"xn-person\">Jimmy Buffett&#8217;s<\/span> Margaritaville, Center Cut Steakhouse, Paradise Garden Las Vegas Buffet and Carlos&#8217; n Charlie&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>Caesars Entertainment upgraded more than 4,800 guestrooms at four of its resorts in 2016: Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood Resort &amp; Casino, Paris Las Vegas and Harrah&#8217;s Las Vegas. By the end of 2017, more than half\u00a0of the company&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/investors-cash-chips-in-las-vegas-2\/\">Las Vegas<\/a> guestrooms will have been ungraded.
