The company plans to invest approximately $18 million and add 550 new jobs during\u00a0the next five years.<\/p>\n<p>AXA opened its Life Operations headquarters at 8501 IBM Drive in Innovation Park in 2013, setting a new standard as\u00a0a more open and collaborative environment. By expanding its operations, AXA\u2019s Charlotte office will become the company\u2019s largest U.S. location, while the U.S. corporate headquarters will remain in New York.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAXA looks forward to growing in Charlotte, and we appreciate the support from the state of North Carolina, the city of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County,\u201d<\/em> said Mark Pearson, chairman, president &amp; CFO of AXA U.S. <em>\u201cWe know from our experience that Charlotte is a great place to attract a talented workforce, allowing us to grow our business and better serve our customers,\u201d<\/em> he added.<\/p>\n<p>The life insurance company will bring a variety of jobs to Charlotte, including IT, finance, legal, accounting, customer service, HR and other functions that will support overall company growth. The expansion benefits from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/gkns-nc-facilities-get-179m-boost\/\">Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG)<\/a> approved by the state\u2019s Economic Investment Committee.
