Plano, Tex.<\/strong>\u2014Stream Data Centers has broken ground on its latest development, a 145,000-square-foot data center facility near Dallas. The Stream Ready-to-Fit Data Center will be built in Legacy Business Park, a premier master-planned, office campus and mixed-use development in Plano.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe North Texas market continues to attract corporate data center users and cloud providers looking for large blocks of space in a safe location with access to superior connectivity and reliable power,\u201d said Rob Kennedy, co-managing partner of Stream Data Centers, in a prepared statement. \u201cThis data center will provide enterprise users and large-scale cloud providers with an attractive wholesale option in one of the fastest-growing markets in the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stream Ready-to-Fit Data Center is situated on a 16-acre site located outside of a 500-year flood plain. Upon completion, the data center will feature a purpose-built, structurally enhanced, powered shell facility totaling 145,000 square feet. Furthermore, the development will be expandable to 265,000 square feet.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The project will include two 20 MW utility feeds from two separate substations, pre-engineered with a third utility feed for expansion, robust and redundant fiber connectivity with four diverse fiber routes and 24\u00d77 on-site security with perimeter fencing. The data center will have the ability to secure data center tax incentives from the State of Texas.<\/p>\n

The data center, scheduled for completion in October 2017, is Stream\u2019s 10th project in Texas. It is also the company\u2019s second project in Legacy Business Park, and fourth in the Dallas-Fort Worth market within the last four years.<\/p>\n

The Dallas-Fort Worth metro is the third largest data center market in the U.S. The Far North Dallas submarket is one of the most active markets in the country for large corporate relocations and expansions, with recent announcements from Toyota, JP Morgan Chase, Liberty Mutual, FedEx, Fannie Mae and others.\u00a0The Lone Star State\u2019s data center tax exemption program continues to propel the Texas to be one the country\u2019s leading destinations for data center development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
