The company invested $18 million in the 91,000 square-foot expansion of its corporate headquarters. The new building already opened for current staff members, but it offers space for up to 700 new employees over the next five years. According to <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlotteobserver.com\/news\/business\/biz-columns-blogs\/development\/article128395509.html\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">The Charlotte Observer<\/a><\/em>, the new positions will pay an average salary of $49,000. Upon completion, the company\u2019s new development will include a fitness center, a cafe and a snack bar. The official opening of the company&#8217;s new building in Lancaster County is scheduled for March 2017.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis hiring and expansion is going to help drive our business forward as we continue to lead a movement of change in the mortgage industry, corporate culture and our communities,\u201d said Casey Crawford, Movement Mortgage\u2019s CEO &amp; co-founder, in a prepared statement.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016, the company closed 55,000 loans for a total of $12 billion and is projecting its volume will increase to $16 billion in 2017. Founded in 2008 with four employees, Movement Mortgage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialsearch.com\/news\/movement-mortgage-relocates-largest-operations-center-expands\/\" target=\"_blank\">relocated<\/a> last year from its former headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va.
