Los Angeles<\/strong>\u2014Hilton has opened DoubleTree by Hilton Whittier Los Angeles, an eight-story, 202-key hotel in the heart of Whittier\u2019s tree-lined uptown business and historic district.<\/p>\n

\u201cLovely Whittier is a quiet oasis amid its action-packed SoCal neighbors, but it\u2019s also easily accessible to a multitude of destinations throughout metropolitan Los Angeles,\u201d Dianna Vaughan, DoubleTree by Hilton\u2019s senior vice president and global head, said in a prepared release. \u201cIt is an ideal location for our newest property, where we look forward to welcoming guests with the acts of kindness that mean so much, beginning with our warm DoubleTree Cookie greeting at check-in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rooms and suites contain all the modern, thoughtful amenities expected from the DoubleTree brand, such as the DoubleTree Sweet Dreams Sleep Experience beds, a work desk with Wi-Fi access and views of downtown or the nearby Puente Hills.<\/p>\n

The hotel also has 12,000 square feet of meeting space, a Grand Ballroom, a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, as well as a 24-hour fitness center, featuring new Precor equipment and a view of the pool and tropical courtyard.<\/p>\n

According to Marcus & Millichap\u2019s California Hospitality Research Report for the second half of 2016, following the first half of the year that saw record room revenue and occupied rooms, growth in business and leisure travel in the second half was expected to raise annual occupancy to a tick under 76 percent in 2016, the highest level this century.<\/p>\n

DoubleTree by Hilton Whittier Los Angeles is in close proximity to Los Angeles-area businesses and Southern California attractions, and is within walking distance to cultural treasures, such as the Jonathan Bailey House, Whittier Museum and numerous shops, antique stores and vibrant cafes. It\u2019s just a short drive to Knott\u2019s Berry Farm, Disneyland and relaxing Pacific Ocean seashore communities, such as Seal Beach, Sunset Beach and Newport Beach.<\/p>\n

Dining options at the hotel include the upscale Sophia\u2019s California Bistro and the Ultra Lounge sports bar.<\/p>\n

The hotel now stands as the largest in Whittier.<\/p>\n
